As you use the board it won’t slide. The rubber feet will make sure of that. Thermally treated cutting board The beech wood is thermally treated. This makes it less susceptible to stretching and shrinking than untreated beechwood. The wood is ‘baked’ at a temperature between 180 and 220 degrees, giving it its dark, fancy look and feel. In addition, the wood is impregnated by the thermal treatment. This leaves behind a protective layer. As such it is less sensitive to moisture. Please note: you cannot submerge or soak a wooden cutting board in water. Maintenance tip: After use, clean the board with a moist towel and leave it to dry upright. Before use add a coat of oil to the board. This prevents damage to the wood. Repeat this treatment appox. once a month.
